Imagine: in two weeks your child starts speaking English more freely, makes friends from Italy and Japan, tries rock climbing or theatre — and all of it without dull lessons or rote learning. That is exactly how summer and language camps abroad work. Children learn the language naturally: through games, excursions, sport and communication in a multicultural environment.
The language barrier melts away on its own, because there is no time to feel shy — you have to understand the rules of football on the pitch or agree on the colour of the paint in the workshop. At the same time independence develops: the child packs their own things, keeps to the schedule and sorts out minor everyday matters. And all of this is under the watch of counsellors and teachers who are on hand 24/7.
At good camps the programme is planned down to the minute: light language lessons in a playful format in the morning, sport, creativity or quests in the afternoon, and discos, films or themed parties in the evening. No getting stuck on the phone, no boredom. Over a single session a child manages to rest, boost their language and gather a sea of impressions.
Language camps — 15–20 lessons per week plus entertainment. For children aged 7 to 17 of any level.
Sports camps — football, tennis, horse riding, sailing. Language is secondary. For active children.
Arts camps — theatre, music, painting, sculpture. The language is picked up through a favourite activity.
Family camps — a programme for children with their parents (or with parents staying nearby). For the youngest children and for a first trip.
